Demi Lovato is about to unveil her latest documentary series, and fans will definitely want to be ready for this one.

Right now, the Grammy Award nominee is on the verge of releasing perhaps her most personal docuseries yet, titled Dancing With the Devil. When it debuts, diehard fans of the beloved pop star will finally get some of the extremely intimate and insightful answers to the very publicized questions about the singer and what she’s gone through in recent years.

Before we cover where and when to watch it, let’s dive a little deeper into the premise. Here’s what to know about Demi Lovato’s upcoming docuseries Dancing With the Devil.

What is Dancing With the Devil about?

According to Us Weekly, the 28-year-old songstress hopes her hyped-up series will finally “set the record straight” about her life-altering 2018 overdose. Directed by Michael D. Ratner, Demi Lovato aims to shed light on the pressures of her lengthy career in the spotlight, all she endured at the time of her overdose, what the musician ultimately learned in its aftermath, along with where she is today.

On The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer opened up about what audiences can expect to see from the documentary series, revealing:

"What’s great is we live in a time where nobody’s perfect, and we’re not going to get role models by watching people not make mistakes. We’re going to meet and learn from our role models who have overcome their deepest, darkest struggles."

Of why she chose to discuss her overdose, Lovato told Ellen:

"A lot of stories were going around at that time that didn’t really know exactly what had happened. I just wanted to tell the world, ‘Hey, this is what happened, this is how I got through it, and hopefully this can help you too’ because this journey has been such a wild ride, but I’ve learned so much, and I can’t wait to share it with the world."

Luckily for her fans, that wait is now almost over. Demi Lovato also revealed that in major part, it was the support of her fans who helped her through her admitted “darkest point.” On top of sharing her own struggles, she told DeGeneres that she hopes her new series will help others who might be struggling behind closed doors as well.

And what better way to thank her loyal following than this extremely personal glimpse into her life featuring some sparkly new tracks?
