Watch This Is Us Season 5, Episode 9 live on NBC

Do you like car rides? Do you like when scenes take place entirely in the car? If so, then This Is Us Season 5, Episode 9 is right up your alley. Tonight’s episode is centered around Jack and Rebecca’s car ride home after leaving the hospital with the Big Three.

Before the car ride home, babies needed to be born. In last week’s episode, Kevin and Kate prepared for the newest additions to their families. In the beginning, Kevin’s status was up in the air since he was stuck in the Seattle airport without a personal ID to board the plane.

While Kevin fought to get home, Madison was alone in the delivery room during the beginning stages of labor. Thankfully, Randall and Beth coached Madison via FaceTime and kept her calm until Kevin showed up in the nick of time.

With Kevin by her side, Madison gave birth to twins named Nicky and Frannie. After the birth, Kevin called Randall, thanking him for his help, which ended their bad blood.

For Kate, she accompanied Ellie in the delivery room while Toby hung out in the parking lot. Ellie successfully gave birth to a baby girl, but against her wishes, spent some time with the newborn. Ellie reassured the infant that she would have a good life with Kate and Toby. Kate finally held her new daughter and named her Hailey.

Toby picked Rose as the middle name in honor of his newfound friend’s wife in the parking lot. On a group FaceTime with Rebecca and Kevin, Kate dubbed the babies the “New Big Three.”

Now, it’s time to bring the babies home from the hospital. The promo for tonight’s episode teases a nervous Jack preparing the car seats for the Big Three. Rebecca laments that she can’t see her babies in the car. Then, Jack panics and drinks a shot of whiskey at a gas station. Will this lead to more drinking? Will Jack drive the family home or will Rebecca have to get behind the wheel?
