WandaVision letdown No. 1: Evan Peters

Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way first! When Evan Peters first appeared on screen, everyone just about jumped out of their seats! I know I did! We obviously all believed this was the multiverse connection we’ve long been waiting for.

I mean, why else cast Peters, who portrays Peter Maximoff in the X-Men movies? Certainly not just for laughs, right? Because that wouldn’t be funny. And definitely not for a cheap “Bohner” joke, right? Wrong.

We were all shaking our heads at the ridiculousness of it. What a wasted opportunity! But hey, maybe the people behind Phase 4 have something else in mind? One thing’s for sure, we can’t wait to learn more!

WandaVision letdown No. 2: Reed Richards (or lack thereof)

Another example of a connection we assumed was happening came when Monica mentioned she knew the perfect aerospace engineer for the job. Gasp, she’s gotta be talking about Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards, right?

We didn’t consider anything else and instead began to speculate who will be playing Reed Richards. John Krasinski? A new actor? Welp. It wasn’t Reed Richards at all. It was someone we’ve never met before. So much for that!

Was anyone else also disappointed by how much Monica’s “engineer friend” hyped up the vehicle that was supposed to take Monice into Wanda’s world only for it to be a major fail?
