Deadly Illusions on Netflix: Who really killed Elaine?

Feeling confused after watching Deadly Illusions on Netflix? Join the club! The biggest mystery among a puzzling set of events, is who killed Elaine? Needless to say, there are spoilers ahead if you have not watched the movie.
Deadly Illusions is Netflix’s latest hit film. It stars Kristin Davis, Greer Grammer, Dermot Mulroney, Shanola Hampton, and others. The reason this movie is the most-watched film on Netflix is the twists and thrills.
The erotic thriller follows Mary (Davis), a writer who is working on her next book, but hires a nanny, Grace (Grammer), to help her with the kids to better concentrate. Still, Mary is dealing with a serious case of writer’s block, but Grace is able to help her with that, too.
Grace proves to be very helpful, actually, and not just with Mary’s needs, but Mary’s husband’s Tom (Mulroney), as well! Events begin to happen that are blurry in Mary’s mind. Soon enough, she is not able to distinguish between reality and fiction, much like what is happening in her novels.
The already twisted events get even more confusing when Mary’s best friend, Elaine (Hampton) turns up dead, and Mary is the prime suspect.
Who really killed Elaine in Deadly Illusions?
Initially, we all pointed fingers at Grace when Mary found Elaine stabbed to death in her office. But the final moments of the episode had audiences scratching their heads.
The footage from Elaine’s office shows a woman leaving right around the time of her death. This is believed to be Mary. However, when Mary visits Grace at the mental hospital, she leaves wearing the same clothes.
If Mary did kill Elaine, why? Elaine was a kind friend who seemed truly concerned about Mary. This is why I still believe it was Grace. Elaine was obviously not happy about Grace being so involved with Mary and Tom, so Grace eliminated her before Elaine could speak to Mary about her worries.
This is only my opinion, however! It is strange that Mary would wear the same clothes! Let’s not forget, though, that Mary did ask Grace to try on all her clothes, so we know Grace is the same size. Could Grace be escaping the hospital?
