Whether you’ve actually sat down to watch Breaking Bad‘s five-season run or not, you’ve most likely heard of the crime drama which originally premiered on AMC on January 20, 2008.

That’s the thing about prestige television. Though water cooler talking points are dying out like the water coolers themselves in offices, we’re still shooting the breeze about the TV everyone is talking about even when we aren’t watching these shows ourselves.

AMC has a rich history with this, as Breaking Bad slots right into the network’s roster of hit shows from Mad Men to The Walking Dead, and we can even add Killing Eve to the list since the British series has found an American home with the network.

Prestige television rarely leaves the pop culture conversation even when the series has concluded. These shows pop up on best TV lists, spawn sequels, and people can’t help but compare newer series with their highly regarded predecessors.

But there’s nothing like revisiting a show you once loved, or watching it for the first time since your friends, colleagues and the internet have spoken endlessly about it for years. So, for new fans and old alike, here’s where you can stream Breaking Bad.

Where to stream Breaking Bad

First, it’s not on HBO Max. While the cable channel is home to its own talked-about series like Euphoria and Game of Thrones, Walter White’s life of crime actually plays out on Netflix.

The platform has all five seasons of the show including its sequel film, Breaking Bad: El Camino, focused on Jesse Pinkman, White’s former student and meth-cooking partner.

Netflix also has the rights to Breaking Bad‘s spin-off series, Better Call Saul. Four seasons of the series are available to stream now.

While the fifth season of Better Call Saul came to an end in April of last year, it still hasn’t made its way to the streamer. According to What’s on Netflix, it’s likely that it won’t be released on Netflix until a few weeks before Better Call Saul premieres its sixth and final season, but COVID-19 related delays could mean fans are in for a long wait.
