Is The Irregulars on Netflix appropriate for kids?

The Irregulars is now streaming on Netflix and it’s one of the most enchanting shows this weekend, but can kids watch along, or is this series for an older audience only?
Netflix is wonderful for allowing parents to set up a Kids Account on Netflix. It’s easy for our kiddo to click on their profile and have access to age-appropriate content. However, many parents comment how it’s just as easy clicking on any other profile in your account.
Once your kiddo is on your profile, whether by accident or not, they’ll be able to discover everything available there, including Netflix’s latest series, The Irregulars.
Or, perhaps, you love Doctor Watson and Sherlock Holmes, enjoyed the movies starring Robert Downey Jr., and other work on the popular duo, and want to introduce your kiddo to the characters. Is The Irregulars to appropriate series to do so?
Should kids watch The Irregulars on Netflix?
Watson and Sherlock are amazing! Who wouldn’t want their kids to know about them But is this the series to get them started on the history of the duo? In short, no. The new series doesn’t even appear on a Kids Account on Netflix, and for good reason, I’m sure!
Besides, The Irregulars follows more closely a group of teenagers being manipulated by “a sinister” Watson and Sherlock, so it doesn’t seem like the mastermind detectives will be at the center of the story, or be the guys we know and love, for that matter.
If you want to watch the latest (and most unique) take on Watson and Sherlock, you’ll have to do so after the kids have gone to bed. Well, that’s my opinion anyway. We each know our own kid’s maturity level and what all they are able to handle.
The 8-episode series is has been described as Sherlock Holmes meets Stranger Things, but it is not rated for children as it features frightening elements and mature content. What, exactly? We’re not sure as not much information has been shared.

Instead, your kiddo may enjoy Secret Magic Control Agency, which also premiered recently to be enjoyed this weekend.
