Solar Opposites is one of the most popular shows available on Hulu right now. With the release of Solar Opposites season 2 on Friday, March 26, 2021, we all have the same question: When is Solar Opposites season 3 coming to Hulu?

Well, we have some good news and some mediocre news on that front.

Solar Opposites season 3 is happening! That’s the good news. Hulu renewed the animated original series for season 3 after the first season premiered in the spring of 2020. The streaming network had already ordered season 2 at that point.

Solar Opposites season 3 release date

Hulu has not announced the official release date for Solar Opposites season 3. We might have to wait a while until we find out the release date, but we should have a pretty good idea when to expect the new season.

The first season of the series was released in May 2020 and then season 2 premiered only 10 months later in March 2021. That’s a pretty quick turnaround. It likely happened because Hulu order two seasons of the series originally, so the creative team already had season 2 in the works shortly after finishing the first season, if not during season 1 production.

The same thing could have happened with Solar Opposites season 3. Hulu ordered the third season nine months before season 2 premiered, so season 3 could have been in the works as early as last summer.

Assuming they are already working on the third season, a spring 2022 release date for season 3 seems possible. That’s when I’m expecting to see the new season on Hulu.

There will be four episodes more in season 3 than in the first two seasons. So, that could cause the team to take a bit longer in making the new season. If that happens, I could see Solar Opposites season 3 getting pushed back to the summer of 2022, but I’ll be surprised if it takes longer than that.

Solar Opposites season 3 cast

We don’t know who will voice the main characters in season 3 yet, but we know at least some of the main actors will be back. At least, that’s what we’re thinking will happen.

Justin Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone, and Mary Mack should be back for season 3, along with Tiffany Haddish, Jason Mantzoukas, Alfred Molina, Christina Hendricks, Andy Daly, Rob Schrab, Kari Wahlgren, and more.

We’re also expecting to see more of the other recurring cast and some new voice cast members in season 3, as well.

Hulu has not released the trailer for the new season yet. As soon as we see any teasers or trailers for Solar Opposites season 3, we’ll share them here.
