A heart-stopping midseason trailer is our first glimpse of FOX’s hit procedural drama 9-1-1, with a heart racing snippet of the winter premiere.

The hit drama returns with season 4, episode 9 on April 19. From the trailer alone, we have a lot to unpack. The trailer opens with Hen (Aisha Wilson) and Karen (Tracie Thoms) potentially losing their foster daughter Nia.

Immediately after, we see a car driving on the wrong side of the freeway with Athena Grant (Angela Bassett) chasing after them – concluding it’s a drunk driver. When The 118 arrive, we see it result in what looks to be a fatal crash, and is only even more suspicious after Athena says “How many more people have to die today?”

Could we be saying goodbye to Howard Han on 9-1-1?

Fans have been led to believe Albert might be Chimney’s (Kenneth Choi) brother, Albert (John Harlam Kim) might be the one we wave goodbye to. A few weeks ago, the actor who plays Albert posted a behind-the-scenes photo on his Instagram of him, Kenneth Choi, and Jennifer Love-Hewitt in a car, with Johnathan “driving.”

One week later on March 8, the trailer for season 4, episode 9 drops with Maddie wearing the exact same outfit. Could he have driven Maddie to work? Could he have been the one in the car accident? We don’t see who’s she’s talking to in the car, and Chimney is standing outside – looking like they’re saying goodbye for now. If they were going to the hospital for the baby, wouldn’t they walk in together?

Another reason to believe it might be Albert is because, in the latest trailer dropped by FOX (see above), about nine seconds into the shot we see a bloody, torn-up white t-shirt – similar to the one that Johnathan Harlam Kim posted in his behind the scenes selfie.
