Is Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2, Episode 8 going to get the series back on track after a rough seventh episode? Here’s how to watch live and find out!

For better or worse (usually better, recently worse), this series has always given us plenty of things to talk about. “Zoey’s Extraordinary Birthday” is going to be no exception.

Even the promotional images for this episode raise a lot of questions, mostly along the lines of “omg why.” So, get prepared to have a lot—and we mean a lot—of thoughts after this next installment airs.

So, what could possibly go wrong when Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist celebrates Zoey’s birthday? If you’ve been following along, regardless of whether you’re Team Max, Team Simon, or Team No One, you might just have reason to worry.

How to watch Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2, Episode 8 live online

Love triangles are fun—until they’re not. And after Episode 7, with the introduction of Katie Findlay as Rose and the weird flirting between Zoey (Jane Levy) and Simon (John Clarence Stewart), this particular triangle has overstayed its welcome.

As we discussed when recapping that episode, it’s also not even a triangle anymore, if you stop to consider that a triangle has only three sides. This thing has way more at this point, and it’s exhausting just trying to keep track.

So, where does that leave us for Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Season 2, Episode 8? Going all in on the relationship drama, if the episode promo (above) is any indication.

Not only does it show Max and Rose all over each other, but there’s also the whole, “I have feelings for Simon again” coming out of Zoey’s mouth. It might be time to consider washing your slice of Zoey’s birthday cake down with a very large glass of wine…Just saying.

The synopsis for Episode 8 makes it clear that the storyline is all about the love drama, too:

"Zoey must face her unsettled feelings for the men in her life before she can celebrate her 30th birthday."

As distressing as this is, there’s still a lot to love about this show. There are very good reasons why it was recently voted “the Bubble Show You Most Want to See Renewed.” So, even though she’s clearly terrible at this whole love thing, we’re not giving up on Zoey just yet.
