Max tries to fix the inequalities of childbirth among women of color on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 8, so you know he’s going to put his foot in it in some way.

When Max finds a problem in his hospital, he wants to solve it. In fact, he feels that need to solve it. And most of the time, he makes a huge mess of the situation at first. It takes time for him to realize that he needs to listen to people.

That’s likely to be the case here. He’s already made a mess of trying to fix systemic racism within the hospital. He means well, but often does more harm than good at first. He needs to listen to everything Sharpe says when it comes to this matter.

Sharpe may be elsewhere, though. She’s helping Agnes with a difficult diagnosis. This seems to be separate from the childbirth storylines.

Bloom is caught on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 8

While all that happens, Bloom is caught by the wrong person. For the last few episodes, she’s let a homeless lift-share driver with a place to shower and eat. It has been from a good place, but Bloom has no idea who this woman is. Casey is worried, but would he tell someone about what Bloom is doing?

I don’t think so. Casey knows that Bloom’s heart is in the right place, and he hid the backpack when the supply closet was repainted to protect Bloom. Instead, Bloom is likely just getting caught in a natural way.

Her job is on the line. Will it, instead, help the lift-share driver get a residency at the hospital like she deserves after the way she treated the patient episodes earlier?
