New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 9 spoilers: A drive-by shooting?

Reynolds deals with a young girl who has been shot in a drive-by shooting on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 9, but he doesn’t believe the story.

Since Reynolds has been back, he’s stuck to the ER and slotted in where he can. In the last episode, he had this amazing moment of helping to deliver a baby at 31 weeks and help that baby’s heart start breathing. Now it’s time for him to save a young girl from a gunshot wound.

Her dad brings her into the ER saying she was hit in a drive-by shooting. Naturally, everyone initially believes the story. They’re in emergency mode, trying to get stop the bleeding and figure out the type of treatment she needs. It’s only later that the holes start to appear (no pun intended).

Reynolds will realize in the OR that things don’t add up. This wasn’t a drive-by shooting. The injury was close range, which suggests that the dad has done it. Will we see Reynolds play detective as he tries to get to the bottom of the situation?

Max focuses on getting internet on New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 9

While that goes on, Max is trying to solve another problem. At least during New Amsterdam Season 3, Episode 8, he listened to his patient when it came to helping. He figured out what to do, and also found a way to prevent the problem from arising again.

This episode will see him deal with a slightly different type of problem. He needs to get WiFi to the hospital. Yeah, they have WiFi right now, but it doesn’t sound like it’s sticking around for long. Or maybe it’s just not reliable enough. We’d already seen with Iggy that the virtual meetings weren’t that great for patients because of freezing.

Just what is Max’s solution going to be this time? How will he get the money for this?
