The lives of two of our own are on the line in the promo for Station 19 Season 4, Episode 13. Will Dean and Ben survive the water?

After an emotionally charged and powerful episode, it’s time to get back to saving lives. This time it’s after a banquet for Black firefighters. When the chief collapses and goes overboard, Dean and Ben throw themselves in the water to help him.

That’s what we get to see in the promo for Station 19 Season 4, Episode 13. The next we know, Dean and Ben are talking about how they can’t die.

There are a lot of questions going forward. The biggest is why the ship didn’t stop. Ben shouted “man overboard” before jumping in the water, but it looks like nobody heard that. Granted, there was nobody else outside and it’s probably difficult to hear anything from the inside.

It leaves us concerned about the fates of the two firefighters. Ben has a life vest on, but that won’t be enough to protect him from the frigid waters. Dean doesn’t have anything, meaning the water could end up pulling him down, and he says that he can feel his legs sinking.

At the start of the promo, they didn’t look too far from land. However, it’s now night. Even if they’re close to land, they may be disorientated due to the darkness and the time. The best thing they can do is wait for help or wait until the morning.

Someone is eventually going to realize that Ben and Dean are missing. Vic is on the ship, so she’ll be on the lookout for her friends. Is it going to be too little too late, though? After all, she’s not initially going to think that they went overboard!

The bad news is we have a wait for Station 19 Season 4, Episode 13, just like we’re waiting for Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, Episode 14. There isn’t an episode on Thursday, April 29. Instead, we’re waiting until Thursday, May 6 for this episode to see how it all plays out.
