The Real Housewives of Atlanta has wrapped the 13th season of the long-running Bravo series, and the dynamics have shifted once again. When you look back at the early stages of a season as opposed to the conclusion of any Real Housewives season, there’s always a lot to take in.

Friendships deteriorate, relationships change, and sometimes, there’s an accusation about an unfaithful prophet. With the Real Housewives, anything is possible! Looking back at this season of outrageous situations, there’s plenty of buzzworthy topics to cover, but a few stand out more than others.

Kenya’s obvious vendetta on The Real Housewives of Atlanta

From the moment Porsha and Kenya joined the cast in the fifth season, it was very clear that they weren’t destined to be friends. The two have exchanged infamous one-liners at each other, with Porsha naturally stepping into a role as a fan favorite for her candid take on the series as well as life.

Kenya has gone above and beyond to try to tarnish Porsha’s reputation, and an example comes from the Bolo bachelorette party storyline that felt entirely unnecessary. Sure, we’re watching a reality series where people are likely to bring attention to others instead of addressing their own messiness, but it was drawn out excruciatingly long.

The one-sided grudge starts to become borderline creepy when multiple conflicts with Kenya arise over people simply liking Porsha. What Kenya fails to realize time and time again, is that all of that time spent trying to villainize Porsha just makes people appreciate her more.

The new girls continue a timeless tradition

As mentioned earlier, Kenya and Porsha were doomed to not mix well just for joining the cast at the same time. In a very similar fashion, new cast member Drew and the “friend of a housewife” Latoya was immediately destined for failure.

The two had bizarre transitions from being friends and attending church together, to obtaining not-so-incriminating tape recordings. Both women nearly came to blows in multiples instances when below the belt remarks were exchanged, and as a mannequin head went over Drew’s, the two came even closer to an altercation.

In all transparency, both have wronged each other, both have crossed lines, and both are left with question marks over their roles as a housewife moving forward. While it’s possible Drew deserves a redemption season, I’m not too confident that Bravo should extend the same offer for Latoya.

Porsha remains a queen

It’s starting to feel like every season is a great season for Porsha, and that’s how you know we’ve been given a top-tier Real Housewife. Porsha opened this season addressing the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor through hands-on activist work, being dubbed “a crusader against police violence.”

This showed a very different side of Porsha, who was previously perceived as ditzy by her castmates. Truthfully, Porsha is sharp-witted, good-hearted and an easy personality to root for, so through a season of nonessential drama, Porsha continues to rise above as the MVP of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Seriously though, can you really imagine a season without Porsha right now?
