Barry is HBO’s dark comedy that took us all by surprise, quickly becoming the network’s hit series and one of our favorite shows. Here’s everything we know about Barry season 3.

There’s no question Bill Hader is a comedy genius and one of the most talented actors. Still, many questioned how well he’ll portray such a dark character. It only took the pilot episode of Barry on HBO to settle any doubts.

As Thrillist shares, Barry is one of the most ambitious television shows of our time. Season 2 of the series proved that it wasn’t just random luck, this show is brilliant. That said, when can we expect season 3 to premiere?

If you haven’t watched Barry on HBO, you’re missing out! The dark comedy follows Barry Berkman (Hader), a lonely hitman who moves to Los Angeles and decides to give up his career after joining a theater class.

When does Barry season 3 premiere on HBO?

Just like all other shows (and movies), the pandemic forced production to shut down, so you can thank Barry‘s delay on COVID-19. On the bright side, at the time, production was also working on season  4, so the wait for season 4 won’t be as long as this one.

Unfortunately, filming began in early 2021, so we do still have a few months. At best, Barry season 3 premiere in late 2021, but I’m going to guess our best bet is early 2022. We’ll keep you posted!

Events ended on a major cliffhanger! Cousineau has learned Barry’s secret. In an interview with Variety, Hader promises “funny stuff” and “really tragic stuff” to come, which truly describes Barry in general.

The big players Bill Hader, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, Henry Winkler, and others, are expected to return. We’re not sure if any new talent has been added to the cast. We’ll update you when we learn more.

Finally, don’t expect a teaser trailer just yet! That won’t happen until production is done with editing and filming. But we’ll update this as soon as there is one!
