It’s never too soon to start thinking about Dynasty Season 5, even though the fourth season hasn’t even come to an end. Thankfully, another season has already been confirmed to follow the latest set of twists and turns in the Carrington world.

The fourth season of Dynasty premieres on Friday, May 7 on The CW and will bid us farewell with another whirlwind cliffhanger sometime at the end of the year.

While the wait for Season 4 was longer than we’re used to, Dynasty should get back to some semblance of normalcy with its Season 5 run, which is expected to arrive in a much more traditional timespan than the previous yearlong wait between finale and premiere.

Dynasty Season 5 release date

Currently, The CW has not announced firm release date details for its shows beyond the 2020-2021 season. Right now, the network’s 2021-2022 season schedule is expected to continue to feel the effects of the pandemic’s production delays, pushing many shows from their usual fall perch.

Since Dynasty Season 4 premiered in May 2021, the season is expected to wrap up its airing in late 2021, barring any extended breaks a la Riverdale. With that in mind, we could see Season 5 start airing on The CW sometime in mid-2022, though that’s just a rough estimate.

When is Dynasty Season 5 coming to Netflix?

Just like its postponed televised release date on The CW, come to terms with the fifth season of Dynasty hitting Netflix later than usual. Traditionally, the drama would wrap up its seasons in late May and drop on the streamer one week after. While that post-finale timeframe will still hold up, the estimated date is unclear. Season 5 will stream on Netflix one week after its finale sometime in 2022.

As we have learned throughout the first three seasons of Dynasty’s run, anything can happen when it comes to the cast of this show. Two main roles have been played by three different performers (each!) and other characters have come and gone when you least expect them to.

However, we can expect much of the main cast will remain intact, now that the series has seemed to stabilize well into its run. Elizabeth Gillies and Grant Show are definite locks, and Rafael de la Fuente, Daniella Alonso, Elaine Hendrix, Sam Adegoke, Robert Christopher Riley, Maddison Brown, Sam Underwood, Adam Huber, Michael Michele, and Alan Dale are expected to return. But we will have a better idea of the Season 5 cast at the end of Season 4.

Without question, the fifth season will pick back up in the aftermath of a crazy cliffhanger we’re definitely in for from the Season 4 finale. It’s far too soon to guess exactly where Dynasty will go in Season 5, but the series will continue to follow the dramatic highs and lows of the Carrington bunch and those in their orbit.
