PEN15 season 3 release date updates: Will there be a new season? When is it coming out?

The Hulu Original PEN15 has become one of the streaming platform’s most successful original series, receiving a critic score of 97%  and an audience score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. With an audience rating so high, it is clear to see that this show has garnered quite the dedicated fan base and has become a show that is high in demand.

PEN15 released the first part of its second season back in September 2020 and fans have been patiently waiting for both the rest of season 2 and hopefully a third season after that. But is the wait in vain or is there some good news regarding the fate of this show?

How many seasons of PEN15 are there?

As previously mentioned, there are currently one and a half seasons of the Hulu show available to stream. Part 2 of season 2 does not have a release date yet, but TV Line has reported that it’s expected to debut sometime in 2021. Fingers crossed we’ll get more from this coming-of-age comedy after the second installment finishes up.

Is there going to be a season 3 of PEN15?

Unfortunately, as of right now, the Hulu series has not been yet been renewed for a third season. It’s pretty unclear why that may be especially with the show receiving a great amount of critical acclaim. It could be that the streaming service is waiting to see how the second part of season 2 is received before ordering another installment.

Or perhaps, the second part of the second season will serve as a series finale for the comedy-drama. We’re crossing our fingers that there will be a PEN15 season 3 in our future.

PEN15 season 3 release date

Currently, there is no official release date for season 3 as the second season has yet to conclude, however, based on PEN15‘s previous release dates, we could expect a third installment in either early 2022 or during the fall of 2022. Be sure to take this with a grain of salt, though, as these are only predictions and could be wrong.
