Two episodes ago, we watched Jackson take an 11-hour drive to a destination unknown. There were plenty of speculations, including the thought that he would go to his father. After all, he’d just mentioned his father to Catherine, and he didn’t seem to completely regret his choice of words.
Jackson wants to feel like he’s doing something. He’s struggled this season seeing that most of the COVID-19 patients are people of color. Then the death of George Floyd and his history of never going to protests or fighting for social justice hit him hard.
It’s now time to do something, and that’s where Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, Episode 14 takes us. At first, Jackson is going to head to his dad. But he’ll head somewhere else afterward.
April returns on Grey’s Anatomy Season 17, Episode 14
The promo made it clear that another person would return to Grey’s Anatomy. April is back, although she’s only back for an episode. This doesn’t mean Japril is going to happen again.
Why is Jackson knocking on April’s door? Is he going to ask for her to come back to him? We’ve barely heard him mention April or his daughter, Harriet, all season, and now suddenly he goes knocking on April’s door? This is certainly an episode you’ll want to tune into.
It’s not clear if anyone else will appear in the episode. There are promo photos of Catherine and Webber, which makes sense considering we have a Jackson-focused episode. But it doesn’t look like any of the hospital storylines will happen this week.
