There is a lot going on in The Resident Season 4 finale, and we’ll start with the Raptor turning to Cain. AJ’s life is out of control. He’s missing Mina and his mom is gravely ill. He needs Cain’s help, but is Cain going to be willing to give that? After all, doesn’t Cain partly blame AJ for things that have happened to him?
This is going to be a moment of potential redemption for Cain. We know Morris Chestnut is returning for The Resident Season 5 but as a recurring guest star, which makes it very hard to guess which way this will go.
While that happens, Nic goes into labor. It’s time for her and Conrad to become parents, and yes, it really does change from this point for the two of them. It’s going to be exciting to see what else is to come.

Meanwhile, there are a few other storylines happening. For Kit, she has to deal with some moral repercussions of saving Chastain. She had faced firing because she couldn’t get the money in, and she wasn’t given much time to find it. Now she knows the hardship so many before her have faced.
Out of everyone, Bell would understand Kit right now. However, Bell has his own situation to deal with. He and Devon are working together on a surgery that could save multiple lives. They need this to be a success, so the pressure is on.
And we’ll also get a chance to see Jake and his husband again. As I thought they would, they’re adopting Sammie. It makes sense, and I hope we see more of them in the new season.
