Ryan Murphy has his hands in many a pot, genre hopping to his heart’s content as he brings glam, glitz, joy, and mayhem to the screen with each project. But, he still returns to the macabre world of horror and thrills with his American Horror Story universe that’s expanded into quite a diverse storytelling medium. Now the anthology series is growing even more with its spin-off American Horror Stories set to frighten audiences come July on FX.

The 16 episode series will pack quite the hour-long punch as fans of AHS will have their blood curdled with a new story each week. Knowing how things tend to play out in this universe, it’s enough to have viewers shivering in anticipation.

Not much is known about American Horror Stories beyond bits and pieces that Murphy has shared online. In November 2020, Murphy tweeted that the series would be “delving into horror myths, legends and lore” and that fans could expect AHS stars they’ve come to know and love to feature in many of the episodes he’s got planned for the show.

Now whether all the AHS cast members Murphy shared the news with in a Zoom call he had in May 2020 will be a part of the series has yet to be confirmed, but we’re sure fans would love to see all of them return.

The American Horror Stories cast

Currently, the only confirmed cast members for American Horror Stories are Kevin McHale (Glee), Charles Melton (Riverdale), Dyllón Burnside (Pose), Nico Greetham (The Prom), and Danny Trejo. Their roles are unknown but Murphy’s June 2 instagram post of the quartet referred to them as The Fantastic Four. The caption has us wondering if all four actors are in an episode together.

IMDb also lists Kaia Gerber, Paris Jackson, and Stephane Nicoli as part of the cast. We’ll keep you posted on more news concerning American Horror Stories as it rolls in.
