Manifest is finally streaming on Netflix: Is it enough to save the series?

In an attempt to save the series from cancellation, Manifest has finally headed to Netflix. Is it going to be enough to save the show?

Manifest fans are still waiting for the Season 4 renewal. This show is still on the bubble on NBC, despite the live ratings not actually being all that bad. The problem is likely the cost of the series, as it is heavy in the graphics and there are a lot of outdoor shots rather than keeping things in the studio.

That being said, everyone is doing everything possible to keep the series, which was originally pitched as a six-season show, on the air. The latest attempt to save it is to put it on Netflix.

Manifest is available to stream on Netflix as of today, according to What’s On Netflix. It’s likely only the first two seasons will drop at first, as the two-hour Season 3 finale airs on June 10 starting at 8/7c. The third season may head to Netflix shortly after depending on the deal struck.

Is the Netflix deal enough to save Manifest?

It’s not the first time that Netflix has been used to bolster the interest in a show. We’ve seen many shows get a renewal because of episodes streaming on Netflix. Just look at Riverdale and All American‘s successes.

This doesn’t always work, though. The Unicorn headed to Netflix ahead of the Season 2 premiere in an attempt to save it. In the end, CBS canceled the comedy because it just didn’t quite work.

There is a chance that Manifest heading to Netflix will help. The mystery drama is one that works well as a binge-watch. Each episode leaves questions for the following episode to answer. Sometimes, there are questions for later in the season, and binge-watching keeps everything fresh on the mind.

I’m still holding out hope. We need Manifest Season 4 to happen.
