NBC has made some disappointing decisions as of late. Today continues the disappointing news that Manifest is canceled after three seasons.

There have been many disappointing cancellations from across the networks throughout the 2020–2021 TV season. CBS canceled NCIS: New Orleans and Mom, and FOX canceled Prodigal Son. Now we find out not only has NBC canceled Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, but it’s also canceled Manifest.

I’ll be honest and say I didn’t see the Manifest cancellation happening. The live ratings were higher than New Amsterdam and The Blacklist, both of which have been renewed.

The decision comes just days after the series was added to Netflix! Two days is not enough time to see if the show can take off (pun totally intended) on the streaming platform. It looks like the decision to put it on Netflix wasn’t for NBC to save it but for somewhere else to save it.

Will Netflix save Manifest?

Eyes are now on Netflix to save the supernatural drama. And it certainly needs saving. The Manifest Season 3 finale left us with some major questions, and now we’re going to be left in limbo for so many of them. We don’t get the callings to get a glimpse of what’s coming next!

According to TVLine, showrunner and creator Jeff Rake isn’t giving up on the series. This was intended as a six-season series, and it’s been canceled at a major moment. He and the production studio, Warner Bros., is looking for a new home.

Having the series recently go to Netflix could be a good thing. After all, the addition on Netflix wasn’t just in the U.S. We have it up here in Canada, and I’m sure many other locations do. Netflix gets a chance to see how it will perform internationally to see that it’s more than worth saving.

Now it’s time to tell Netflix, Hulu, or even Amazon Prime Video that #SaveManifest is worth doing!
