With less than a month to go until American Horror Stories, a “twisted new anthology” from the mind of Ryan Murphy, makes its highly anticipated debut on FX on Hulu, the official synopses for the opening two episodes have been released.

American Horror Story fans are excited for the new anthology series to premiere. It’ll feed our AHS appetite until the big series premieres. But what is the new series about? How is it different from the main FX show?

Read on to learn more about American Horror Stories, including the recently released synopses for the first two episodes, which will premiere on July 15.

Both episodes of the AHS spin-off are set at the iconic Murder House (as featured prominently throughout several seasons of American Horror Story) and are set to air back-to-back on Thursday, July 15, as part of a two-hour premiere event.

What are the first two episodes of American Horror Stories about?

Episode 1 is titled “Rubber (WO)MAN – Part One” and it is written by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, and directed by Loni Peristere. The series premiere episode will follow:

"“A teenager and her dads move into a forsaken home with a grim past. As the family makes renovations, a darkness takes root within them.”"

Episode 2 is titled “Rubber (WO)MAN – Part Two” and is written by Brad Falchuk, and directed by Loni Peristere. This episode will follow:

"“Scarlett enters a twisted new romance while Michael and Troy are forced to confront their rocky relationship.”"

Who is in the cast of the American Horror Stories premiere?

Sierra McCormick (Ant Farm) leads the ensemble as teenager Scarlett (who will later become known as the titular “Rubber Woman”) with American Horror Story alum Matt Bomer making his franchise return as one of her fathers.

Evan Peters is reportedly set to reprise the role of Murder House’s Tate Langdon, alongside Taissa Farmiga as Violet Harmon, and Celia Finkelstein as Nurse Gladys.

Other cast members include Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris Jackson, model Kaia Gerber, as well as Merrin Dungey, Luke Mullen, Valerie Loo, Ashley Carte, Selena Sloan, Shane Carpenter as Thaddeus “Infantata” Montgomery (previously played by the late Ben Woolf), and Cynthia Quiles as Detective Juarez.
