The latest movie in the Fast & Furious franchise is now playing in theaters. Will you be watching with the whole family? What is the F9 movie rated? Is it appropriate for kids?

F9 is now playing in theaters and the movie well worth the big-screen experience! The movie franchise goes dates back to 2001, so you can imagine how large its fanbase is, that’s two decades!

Needless to say, most fans who have been watching from the beginning have entirely different lives now. But one thing has remained the same, we’re all family  — no pun intended. Okay, maybe the family pun was intended.

Most movies in the franchise are rated based on the level of action, violence, and sexual content. But not all are the same. What is F9 rated and what for? Here’s what we know!

What is the F9 movie rating?

F9 is rated PG-13 for language, action, and sequences of violence. One notable thing here is that sexual content isn’t mentioned, which is one of the things parents look out for with younger children. That and strong violence.

PG-13 violence is mild, so it really all depends on how much your kid can handle and only you know your child best! So while the rating means it should be safe for kids over 13-years-old, younger children may still enjoy it. It’s all up to you.

What do you think about the F9 movie rating? Are you and the family big fans of the franchise?

F9 follows Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) living a quiet life with Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and his son. But a new threat forces Dom to confront the sins of his past. The crew reunites to stop Dom’s brother, Jakob (John Cena).
