Outer Banks season 2 trailer: 3 biggest reveals

The Pogues are back and ready to reclaim their treasure in Outer Banks season 2. However, they’re not the only ones looking for the gold.
Ahead of its premiere on July 30, Netflix released the official trailer for Season 2. If the trailer is a preview of whats to come, expect action, adventure, and a lot of explosions.
In the Outer Banks season 1 finale, John B and Sarah Cameron were rescued by a passing cargo ship on its way to the Bahamas. Meanwhile, JJ, Kiara, and Pope were left to believe that their fellow Pogues died in the storm.
The sason 2 trailer teases higher stakes, more mystery, and a new villain. Here are the three biggest reveals from the trailer.
John B and Sarah are fugitives on the run in Outer Banks season 2
As previously stated, John B and Sarah were believed to be dead when their boat disappeared in the storm. However, the trailer shows that they were declared lost at sea. John B is wanted for first degree murder and could face the death penalty, which means the authorities still believe he killed Sheriff Peterkin. If the Pogues’ leader is found, there is a $50,000 reward. As Sarah said in the trailer, “We are fugitives in a foreign country.”
Ward is not the only villain in Outer Banks season 2
In Outer Banks Season 1, Ward Cameron was the main villain and proved he would stop at nothing to find the treasure of the Royal Merchant. In the Season 2 trailer, a new villain was introduced in the form of Limbrey, played by Elizabeth Mitchell. Limbrey tells Pope that John B was “not the only one Ward double-crossed.” Limbrey wants the gold, and she’ll take out the Pogues and Ward if it means the treasure is in her hands.
Outer Banks season 2: The Pogues reunite to hunt for the gold
Going into Season 2, it was implied that the Pogues would reunite at some point. The trailer confirmed this reunion as the group is seen partying together. Shortly after the party, the Pogues are in a room, searching for some thing in particular. John B notices the wall is a map of the entire island, and runs his finger across the wall over an indent that looks like a keyhole. Earlier in the trailer, Pope is seen holding a key. Will this key unlock what’s behind the wall?
