The first two episodes of the AHS spin-off, American Horror Stories, are now streaming on FX on Hulu. When does American Horror Stories episode 3 release and what is it about? Below, we share all the details and the synopsis so you know what to expect.

Please note there are spoilers ahead if you missed episodes 1 and 2. 

What did you think of the first two episodes of American Horror Stories, which took us back to the Murder House? Many fans found it fun and loved meeting new characters, but there were a few who wish there had been a cameo from Evan Peters or another original AHS character.

Were you hoping to see one of your favorite characters? Again, we highly suggest you check out episode 1 and episode 2, but you don’t need to in order to understand episode 3 as each episode is tells a new story.

That said, read on to learn the synopsis for American Horror Stories episode 3, who stars in the episode, and when it will come out.

American Horror Stories episode 3 synopsis and cast

The episode is titled, “Drive In,” and, just like the original series, the creators are extremely secretive about what’s to come, so the synopsis is super short and not very revealing! Still, we will be able to learn a lot from these little details. Read on…

Synopsis: 

"“A screening of a forbidden film has disastrous consequences”"

“Drive In” stars Madison Bailey, Rhenzy Feliz, Naomi Grossman, John Carroll Lynch, Kyle Silverstein, and Amy Grabow.

So much to unpack already! For starters, I love the drive-in movies vibe, and I’m sure you recognize some of the names in the cast.

Naomi Grossman is an AHS favorite! She starred in American Horror Story: Asylum and Freak Show as Pepper, and Apocalypse as Samantha Crowe. In this episode, Grossman will play Rabid Ruth.

Another name that stands out is John Carroll Lynch, who fans know as Twisty the Clown from Freak Show and Cult. Lynch also played John Wayne Gacy in Hotel and Mr. Jingles in 1984. 

What time does American Horror Stories episode 3 come out?

Episode 3 will release on FX on Hulu at 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, July 22. All other episodes will follow this schedule. After it airs, it’ll stay on FX on Hulu along with previous chapters for you to enjoy.
