Good Girls series finale ending explained: Who ended up behind bars?
Good Girls came to an end, but not quite in the way we’d hoped. How did it all go down in the Good Girls series finale? Who ended up behind bars?
After the way Good Girls ended, we certainly wish a fifth season was in the works. There was a little bit of closure but nowhere near enough. There are still a lot of questions that we’ll never get answered.
However, let’s take a look at the finale and exactly how it ended. What does it mean? Who ended up behind bars and was there a powershift between Beth and Rio?
We break down the ending to the Good Girls series finale. It wasn’t happy for everyone, but did we really expect that?
Nevada was all a dream on the Good Girls series finale
After an eventful first hour, we got to see the women and their families in Nevada. They all escaped there to get out of the trouble they were in. However, they couldn’t completely escape. The women put on their masks and held up a store only for Beth to be shot.
Well, it turned out that Nevada was all a dream. I’m kind of glad considering how the children were faring, but it is a shame that the families couldn’t get away.
Instead, the women had to continue to deal with the trouble they had.
In the end, Stan took the children to Nevada anyway. Ruby wanted them all to wait, but Stan made it clear that he was leaving. Ruby could join them once she decided which family she was going to choose.
Meanwhile, Nick ended up behind bars but he made sure there was trouble elsewhere. The gun Mick used was the one that Rio used to kill Lucy. You know, the one with Beth’s fingerprints on it. So, Rio knew there was trouble there.
Who would end up taking the fall for some of the trouble? Annie. We don’t quite get to know everything in the Good Girls series finale. This is why we needed a fifth season to wrap everything up. However, it’s clear that Annie is sacrificing herself for Ruby and Beth.
Speaking of Beth, she ends up on the park bench with Rio. It’s the last conversation between the two we’ll see, and it’s the one we’ve been waiting four seasons for. Beth makes it very clear that Rio now works for her, and he agrees with that. The power has shifted.
