Netflix’s Sexy Beasts is a remake of the A&E reality series of the same name

Sexy Beasts on Netflix is reality TV gold! And many are surprised to learn this isn’t the first show of its kind. In fact, it’s a reboot of the A&E reality dating show of the same name.
If you love reality TV, particularly dating shows that are LOL-fun, you’ll hit the jackpot with Sexy Beasts on Netflix. The narrator is everything! And the contestants are also rather unpredictable.
The concept of the show may seem unique and wild, but it’s not original. As I began to watch the Netflix show, I kept feeling like I have seen this before. Sure enough, a quick Google search proved me right.
I had caught a few episodes of Sexy Beasts: From Beast to Babe on A&E years back when the series began in 2015. The concept is the same: Participants go on “blind dates” and they are all dressed up in wild masks or makeup to hide how they look. The objective is to fall for personality and vibes, not looks.

Just by looking at the trailer from Netflix, you can tell that its version is going to be even more ridiculous — which I mean in the best way. After binge-watching all the episodes in the course of an evening (yes, it’s that addicting) I can say it’s worth putting it in your to-watch list for the weekend.
No word on whether Netflix will renew Sexy Beasts for a second season or not, but based on the success of the first season, I believe it’s only a matter of time. We’ll keep you posted!
