New Amsterdam Season 4 premiere date set for September 2021

The networks are setting their premiere dates, and we have one for New Amsterdam Season 4. The good news is we’re not waiting until 2022!

September is when TV starts for the 2021-2022 season on the big networks. We had a feeling that would happen, but it’s been excellent seeing all the networks planning to bring their shows back at the same time.

Of course, these premiere dates may be pushed. We’re hoping not by too much, and most shows should be able to film mostly as normal this summer. There may be a few delays with the COVID protocols, but nothing that pushes the releases too much.

New Amsterdam was supposed to be fall show in 2020 but was pushed to midseason 2021 due to COVID. However, it’s set to be part of the fall schedule in 2021, and we now have the premiere date.

When is the New Amsterdam Season 4 premiere on NBC?

New Amsterdam Season 4 is keeping its 10/9c timeslot. During the start of the 2020-2021 season, NBC acquired Canadian medical dramas to take over that timeslot while waiting for New Amsterdam. It was clear the idea was to keep it as a medical drama timeslot on the network.

It will follow a new episode of The Voice as normal. This is premiere week on NBC, with the likes of the One Chicago series and the new Ordinary Joe series arriving during the week, too.

New Amsterdam Season 4 will see most of the characters return. The only one who isn’t back is Anupam Kher as Vijay Kapoor. The actor chose to leave the series during the third season for personal reasons. He is certainly missed, but we respect the actor’s decision to leave.
