The Resident Season 5 premiere date set for September 2021
FOX has been the last network to share its fall premiere dates, and The Resident Season 5 is on the list. Here’s when it will arrive.
With CBS, ABC, and NBC sharing their premiere dates, we’ve been waiting for FOX to announce its decisions. We knew The Resident Season 5 was going to be part of the fall schedule, but not exactly when it would arrive.
The good news is the fall schedule is in. We know that shows will premiere in September, which is normal. It means shows should film without a hitch in the summer, although do be prepared for some dates to be pushed back if necessary.
When can we expect The Resident Season 5 to premiere on FOX? Here’s everything you need to know.
When will The Resident Season 5 premiere on FOX?
There isn’t too long to wait now. In fact, it’s less than two months. The Resident Season 5 premiere will air on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
The show will keep its 8/7c timeslot on Tuesdays. This might get a little easier considering NCIS is moving to Mondays. However, FBI is the second most-watched drama on CBS and that’s moving to the 8/7c timeslot, so there will still be some competition.
That being said, The Resident has performed well for the most part. It also continues to perform well in streaming. We shouldn’t be too worried with this timeslot for now as long as viewers keep tuning in.
There is a time jump coming in the Season 5 premiere. The show is skipping over the baby years for CoNic’s newborn, which will be for a few reasons. One of those will likely be linked to casting and the rules for babies working, especially mixed with COVID protocols.
The Resident Season 5 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 8/7c on FOX. Catch up the following day on Hulu.
