Gossip Girl (2021) is back with a birthday surprise for Little Z. Last episode, “Lies Wide Shut,” seemed to dead the ongoing dust up between Neo-Queen J and her sister, but never count the ever meddling Luna and Monet out.

The girls aren’t done messing with their relationship. Only one queen can reign at Constance St. Jude’s, and if Julien won’t handle her business then they’ll do it for her.

Episode 4 of this reboot series, “Fire Walks with Z,” looks to be the kind of messy clash OG Gossip Girl fans will enjoy. Who doesn’t love a knockout, drag out drama-rama over a crown? Especially one instigated by two people who stand to benefit from the scorched Earth left behind.

We say let the title match commence!

Of course, a war means that lines have been drawn and sides must be picked. Where will each character land? Team Z or Team J? Which one would you choose? And will Gossip Girl have her say?

The gossipmonger has eyes and ears everywhere in New York City. Whatever goes down between these sisters, she’s likely to be the first to know. After all, Kate’s excitement over the power she and the teachers hold over these kids has only increased as Gossip Girl has grown.

Will she add kindling to the flames Julien and Zoya already have burning? We sure hope not.

As for the rest of our new Gossip Girl crew, Max is drowning in the wake of his parents’ dissolving marriage. And Aki and Audrey are once again on rocky waters. At least one relationship on this series has to find some kind of equilibrium, right?
