Where can you stream Dev Patel’s The Green Knight movie? Is it on HBO?

The time has officially come, The Green Knight is coming out and I am on cloud nine right now. But the big question of the week is, will it be available on the small screen, big screen, or both? Here’s what you need to know about The Green Knight movie.

The film has been in A24‘s back pocket for quite a while and in the height of the pandemic, people were trying to urge the studio to release it via VOD/On-Demand, but they were unsuccessful in doing so.

The Green Knight stars Dev Patel as Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s nephew who is on a mission to confront the mysterious giant that is named the Green Knight. While his family and friends are doubtful he can succeed, Gawain takes on the challenge nonetheless.

I have been keen on Dev Patel ever since his masterful performance in Slumdog Millionaire. His career trajectory has only gone up since and I have been patiently (not really) waiting to watch him tear up the screen in this film. I can’t be the only one, right?

One thing of note, the early reviews have ranted and raved about the film being a visual masterpiece and that it was well worth the wait.

Can you stream Patel’s The Green Knight movie online from home?

Sadly, no. This movie is not streaming (and won’t be streaming) on Netflix, HBO Max, or any other service. In fact, you won’t even be able to catch it on VOD/On Demand.

But don’t lose hope because A24 does have a deal with Showtime and their streaming platform. It may take a little bit for the film to drop on the streaming platform, but I would keep tabs as the door is always open for it to come soon.

Otherwise, to check out The Green Knight movie, you will have to see it on the big screen, as the movie is playing to a wide release this weekend.
