The Fall TV season is quickly approaching! For SNL, this means that negotiations and contracts for a season 47 are underway! Which of our favorite cast members will return for another season of Saturday Night Live? A definite favorite is Colin Jost. Will Colin Jost be back for another round of The Weekend Update?
Colin Jost is one of the most popular stars on Saturday Night Live. We love him and Michael Che keeping us updated on what is going on with The Weekend Update, it’s one of SNL‘s best segments. They share great chemistry and always keep us laughing.
Which SNL members are your favorite? There’s another season that will be gearing up to start soon, and we couldn’t be more excited. The last season was a life-saver as we were all dealing with the full force of the pandemic.
Things are much better now, but we still need the fun SNL provides. That said, here’s what we know about where Colin Jost stands.
Is Colin Jost coming back for SNL season 47?
Last we heard, SNL cast members are still working out deals, the AV Club reports. By late summer, everyone (usually) renews their contracts and makes new cast additions.
In the SNL season 46 finale, many longtime favorites left us worried. Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, Aidy Bryant, and others, were very emotional. As if to say goodbye. We hope that wasn’t the last time we see them on the SNL stage!
Along with The Weekend Update segment, Jost is also the co-head writer of SNL, so he’s more involved than it may seem. Have things changed since he married Scarlett Johansson? We’ll have to wait and see!
