With the Fall TV season approaching, negotiations and contracts for a new season of Saturday Night Live are underway! Which of our favorite cast members will return for SNL season 47? A definite favorite is Pete Davidson. Will Pete Davidson be back for another round?

Pete Davidson is one of the most popular stars on Saturday Night Live. He doesn’t always pop in as often as we would love, so when he makes an appearance, we know it’s going to be a hilarious sketch.

Which SNL members are your favorite? There’s another season that will be gearing up to start soon, and we couldn’t be more excited. The last season was a life-saver as we were all dealing with the full force of the pandemic.

Things are much better now, but we still need the fun SNL provides. That said, here’s what we know about where Pete Davidson stands.

Is Pete Davidson coming back for SNL season 47?

Earlier this summer, Davidson shared that he was “ready to hand up the jersey” when it comes to his time on SNL. Rumors quickly began to surface after the season 46 finale that main cast members were leaving the show, including Davidson, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, and others.

In an interview shared by Vulture, Davidson commented that he is surprised he made it to seven season, saying “I’m ready to hang up the jersey. Kenan’s like f***in’ Karl Malone out there.”

Davidson appears in the movie The Suicide Squad, but not in a major role. Could he be wanting to score more TV and movie roles and move away from Saturday Night Live? Perhaps. That is the dream of many SNL cast members.

SNL creator and producer, Lorne Michaels, however, wants to keep his SNL family around for as long as possible. Michaels shared with Variety that is is “more willing than ever” to work with everyone’s busy schedules as long as they remain part of the show.

Stay tuned for announcements! We’ll keep you posted as we have a feeling official cast member news will surface in the coming weeks.
