If you’ve been following former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans since the beginning, you’ll know that her relationship with her mom Barbara has always been pretty sour. Though they’ve had ups and downs throughout the years, Jenelle is usually on bad terms with her mother — and it appears that’s the case currently.

The 29-year-old is making headlines this week after speaking out against her 12-year-old son Jace receiving his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In case you missed it, Jenelle was just under fire in June of this year for refusing to get a COVID-19 test when she admitted she was feeling very sick. She also caused a fuss in 2020 for her controversial comments about the vaccine.

Jenelle has basically made it known how she feels about the virus and getting vaccinated, so when Barbara took Jace to get his first shot, the former MTV star was enraged. According to The Sun, Barb shared a sweet photo to Instagram which showed Jace smiling by the water, with the caption: “Just turned 12 and got my 1st Covid [vaccination].”

However, Jenelle clearly was not happy with the caption and took the comments to air out her dirty laundry. “Ask me how I feel,” she wrote, before adding, “Time to block this account again lol.” She was then asked about Jace receiving the first dose of the vaccine while conducting an Instagram Q&A, where she confirmed she was not given the heads up that her son would be vaccinated.

“I had no idea, until afterwards,” Jenelle wrote on her Instagram Story.

Though Jenelle is unhappy with her mother’s choice, Barbara received tons of supportive comments on her Instagram post of Jace. One follower wrote, “Congrats barbara, stay safe,” while another added, “way to go being responsible barb!” Another even went as far as to write, “Good job, Barb. That’s a custody flex if I have ever seen one! Way to keep Jace (and yourself) safe.”

Although Jenelle has wanted to regain custody of Jace, she signed over custody to Barbara back in 2010 and has yet to make any changes. As confirmed by TMZ this year, Barb still has full custody of Jace, while Jenelle has visitation rights.

It seems no matter what, Jenelle and Barb will find something to fight over. We’ll be curious to see if Barbara makes any public statements about Jace receiving the vaccine beyond this Instagram post.
