It was down to two men on The Bachelorette Season 17 finale. Who would Katie choose, and was it the right choice?

Katie had a choice to make. Well, she had a few choices to make.

It all started with her deciding to remain on the show after Greg left. He wasn’t coming back, and Katie either needed to decide to leave without a guy or push on with the two left.

Of course, she opted for the latter. She was there to find Mr. (Maybe?) Right. That led us to the overnight dates.

The first was with Blake, and the second was with Justin. Who would she choose and would it be the right decision on The Bachelorette Season 17?

Katie made it clear to us as viewers that she only wanted to say those three little words to one guy. Well, she did, but it wasn’t when she planned on saying them.

While on her last date with Blake, he decided to tell her exactly how he felt. And Katie

didn’t say anything back

learned from mistake with Greg and said that she loved him too. It was cute, but it does make me wonder just how much she felt about Greg in the first place. It looks like he was right to walk away.

Blake and Katie ended up in the fantasy suite, but the next morning Katie had a decision to make. Would she also opt for the fantasy suite with Justin?

Sadly (for Justin) not. She decided to tell him that Blake was the guy for her.

I don’t know Katie’s heart. I’ve loved her all the way up to the final few episodes, where she seemed to flip-flop between guys. And maybe this is just my recent experience, but flip-flopping is one of the worst. She’ll keep doing it, unless she really is settled on Blake.

To be honest, Blake does keep jumping from Bachelorette to Bachelorette. Katie’s mom even pointed that out—I love Katie’s mom, by the way! Blake has been on the series for a few cycles now and never found someone to pick him. When he did, he had a bit of a panic, but eventually, he picked out a ring and proposed.

That’s where we are. Will Blake and Katie stay together? It’s rare for Bachelorette/Bachelor relationships to work out after a few months from the show’s big reveal now, but we’ll see. I think part of the problem with the series is that the couple has to remain secret for months after filming. In some cases, they can’t even tell their family out of fear of the spoilers spilling out. So, they have this extra bubble that we don’t see that can be sort of like an extended honeymoon phase. Then it all comes out and that’s when trouble can start to show.

Being in that bubble for so long can lead to a bit of relationship shock afterward. That may be why so many relationships come to an end afterward. We’ll see how this one works out, but things didn’t seem all that loving on the live portion at the end.
