A new horror TV series is headed to the small-screen for fans of the genre to enjoy! Chucky is creeping on Syfy and the USA Network this fall 2021. When does the Chucky TV series premiere and what will it be about? We share all the details you need to know, below!
Now, with all the reboots and revivals happening lately, I expected Chucky from Child’s Play to pop up on the big-screen soon, but a TV series? Consider me intrigued! But don’t get me wrong, I would have watched the movie of the doll, too.
Child’s Play is one of the first horror movies that sent me to bed with nightmares! Let’s just say I never saw my stuffed animals the same for a few months! So I’m a fan of the movie franchise and excited about the fun horrors the TV series will deliver.
From the synopsis to the trailer, here is everything we know about Syfy’s Chucky.
Chucky TV series synopsis: What is the show about?
The series is based on Chucky, the popular, main character from the Child’s Play horror franchise. Chucky will serve as a continuation of Cult of Chucky, the seventh movie in the franchise.
Chucky will follow Jake, a high school boy who finds the doll. Instead of killing Jake, Chucky appears to become friends with him and using Jake to help him kill others.
While you don’t necessarily need to watch all the movies to understand the series, I recommend you do. The Syfy show will catch you up (it’s not a difficult premise to understand), but it’ll more enjoyable if you do, at least in my opinion!
