There’s nothing better than watching a My Hero Academia film shortly after an epic season, and fans are thrilled that they will be able to do this again.

The anime’s fifth season is in its final episodes, airing the long-awaited and highly anticipated, My Villain Academia arc. While it will be rather saddening to see such an amazing fifth season come to an end, we are still due for some heroic action as the film World Heroes’ Mission is set to release in theaters very soon.

Get ready to mark your calendars because World Heroes’ Mission will debut at a theater near you in October 2021! These October dates differ per region, so be sure to see the list below to know when you can hit up your local theaters to watch the movie!

  • October 28th – Australia and New Zealand
  • October 29th – The United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, and Ireland
  • TBA – Latin America and Scandinavia

Tickets will be available for purchase on October 1st, so don’t forget to set your alarms to be amongst the first to secure a ticket.

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission cast

The voice actors that you know and love are certainly returning in this film to deliver more scenes that are sure to make you speechless. Daiki Yamashita will return to voice Izuku “Deku” Midoriya, Nobuhiko Okamoto will voice Bakugo Katsuki, Yuki Kaji will voice Shouto Todoroki, and Tetsu Inada will voice Todoroki’s father and number one hero, Endeavor. But the talent doesn’t stop there!

Ryo Yoshizawa is set to also join this cast to voice a new original character named Rody Soul. Funimation’s official Twitter gave us a sneak peek at this new character, and fans already can’t wait to see him on screens. See the Rody Soul’s character design down below.

Last but certainly not least, the film will be directed by none other than Kenji Nagasaki who also directed My Hero Academia‘s previous films Heroes Rising and Two Heroes, so we’re sure to have a great time watching the movie!

My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission synopsis

The movie takes place during the Endeavor Agency Arc where our soon-to-be pro heroes’ potential is drawn out with endless days of vigorous training from Endeavor. However, while they’re learning how to become better heroes, society turns its backs on Deku, believing that he was behind a heinous crime.

With time running out, Deku must clear his name before his journey to becoming a hero loved by all is cut short. More on the official synopsis via Funimation, here:

"U.A. High School students Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, and Katsuki Bakugo face the greatest crisis in My Hero Academia history, with only two hours to save the world! During their internship with the number one Pro Hero Endeavor Agency, Deku and his new friend Rody find themselves wanted nationwide for a crime they didn’t commit.  Can Deku and his friends stop Humarise’s global plans of eliminating all Quirks?"
