BritBox is the place for all things British, and there’s certainly some great content arriving in September 2021. Here are the top picks for the month, along with everything arriving.

Can you believe we’re at the end of August already! September is here, and that means the fall shows on broadcast are back. However, there are still a few weeks to fill with content elsewhere. Plus, there’s also some excellent content arriving on streaming platforms.

BritBox has some excellent options throughout the month of September. Whether you want a crime drama like Midsomer Murders or you prefer a comedy program, you’re covered.

We’ll take a look at the top five picks for the month and then share the full list of everything arriving.

5 must-watch shows and movies on BritBox in September 2021

The list is in release date order to make it easier for your own scheduling. After all, this month is a busy one!

Vera

We start with a murder mystery series that is great for those who love Agatha Christie novels and Midsomer MurdersVera Season 10 will drop at once and Season 11 will air weekly.

Vera and her team will need to solve the various murder cases that come their way. There are four to solve in Season 10 and then two episodes that are 120 minutes each for Season 11.

Season 10 drops on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Season 11 begins on Sept. 1 too.

Last Night of the Proms 2021

Love music? Last Night of the Proms is one of the biggest events in the UK, marking the end of the summer. There’s no way you’ll want to miss it this year.

Sakari Oramo, chief conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, will conduct the music throughout the event. The Proms does go on throughout the summer, but the last night is always the biggest and the best.

Watch on Saturday, Sept. 11.

The Museum

Della Howells is a wife, mother, and a passionate historian. She’s finally managed to secure the top job at the Museum of Wales, and that’s when the problems start. Della’s life starts to fall apart after she embarks on a reckless affair with a charismatic stranger.

Della ends up becoming part of Cardiff’s criminal underworld. She’s the villain of the story, but can she figure out her way back to the top? Is there any way of coming back?

QI Season S

Need a bit of comedy in your life? Britain has some of the best comedy programs going, and QI is one of the longest going. Sandi Toksvig is back as host with a range of panelists who are rewarded for being interesting rather than right. The wildest wrong answers are often the best.

There’s no doubt you’ve binge-watched all previous seasons. Now it’s time for another installment.

Episodes air throughout September as part of the BritBox Now listings. That means they’re live with the UK episodes.

Lucan

Finally, it’s time to travel back to 1974 to solve a mystery. Sandra Rivett is the nanny to the Lucan family, but when she’s found dead and Lord Lucan has disappeared, it promises to be a scandal to rock the entire establishment.
