The weekend has arrived and there were a LOT of new releases on Netflix this week. We missed you last week so we plan to make up for it by giving you a lot of great options and Netflix decided to help us out by releasing a great variety of new content. Here are 10 new Netflix movies and shows for you to watch this weekend.

This week, we have the return of a popular reality show with The Circle releasing the first 4 episodes of their new season. We also have the final season of the fan-favorite show Lucifer. Along with the shows, there is a children’s movie and a movie starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane) and Woody Harrelson (Zombieland).

Last week saw the release of the Michael Keaton movie Worth which is receiving very good reviews after one week on Netflix. We also saw the release of the final episodes of the popular Netflix show Money Heist. Both remain among the top 10 Netflix movies and shows as we head into the new weekend.

Best show this week on Netflix

Of course, Lucifer tops the list of new shows releasing this week. From canceled to saved by Netflix and extended, Lucifer has given fans one hell of a ride (pun intended) but that is coming to an end. Likely to jump to the top of the most popular on Netflix list, the final season of Lucifer will look to close many chapters that would have been left open had Netflix not picked up the show.

While Netflix does get a lot of grief for premature cancellations, they should also get credit when they come through for the viewers.

Best movie this week on Netflix

The best movie releasing on Netflix this week has to be Kate. At the time of this writing, the action movie has a fresh rating from viewers at 66% though critics aren’t enjoying it. I don’t typically look to critics when it comes to action movies. According to early reviews, Mary Elizabeth Winstead is great but you should not expect anything groundbreaking from the film itself.

Next. What to stream on Disney Plus in September. dark

If you’re like me and you just enjoy a good revenge thriller, then buckle up and enjoy the ride that Kate takes you on.

What will you be watching this weekend? If we left out your pick, be sure to let us know!
