The Fall TV season always brings our favorite shows back to their network, and we also meet potential new favorites in new series debuts. But don’t sleep on streaming platforms! There are plenty of great shows on streaming to watch this Fall TV 2021 season.

Some may say that streaming services have taken over television. These days, there’s never a dull moment. Between networks and streaming platforms, there’s always something new to watch, we’re talking movies, old classic favorite films, new shows, seasons of old favorites, you name it!

This week at Hidden Remote, we’ve been covering the Fall TV 2021 season closely, highlighting which shows to watch (and which to skip), and remembering shows that have been canceled and won’t be returning this season.

However, we also want to shine the light on shows on streaming that debut this Fall TV 2021 season! What will you be watching? Need some suggestions? You’ve come to the right place!

7 shows on streaming premiering this Fall TV 2021 season

Y: The Last Man on FX on Hulu

First up, we’ve got FX’s Y: The Last Man, which is streaming exclusively on Hulu as part of the FX on Hulu hub. The first three episodes are already streaming on FX on Hulu, with new episodes available every Friday.

Y: The Last Man follows a post-apocalyptic world where all mammals with a Y chromosome have died. All, that is, but one man named Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer).

The Premise on Hulu

The first two episodes of The Premise are streaming on Hulu, with new episodes added every Thursday. The anthology series presents a new episode/topic each time, dissecting an issue of our unprecedented modern era with comedy.

Foundation on Apple TV+

Foundation premieres on Sept. 24 only on Apple TV+, the series is based on Isaac Asimov’s novel of the same name. The story chronicles “a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.”

Midnight Mass on Netflix

Since it’s the Halloween season, why not watch a horror series this Fall TV 2021 season? From the creator of The Haunting of Hill House, Mike Flanagan, Midnight Mass follows an isolated island community who “existing divisions” amplify with the return of a “disgraced young man,” portrayed by Zach Gilford, and a charismatic priest (Hamish Linklater). Watch it on Netflix on Sept. 24.

Dexter: New Blood on Showtime

Trust me, I’m as skeptical as you are about Dexter: New Blood after that wild (and not in a good way) finale. But after watching the teaser trailer, I’m all for giving it a fair chance. Watch the return of Dexter Morgan on Nov. 7, only on Showtime.

Hawkeye on Disney+

Christmas and Marvel? Yes, please! I love how Hawkeye will take place during the holiday season. It’s going to be a very fun, action-packed, and dare I say, jolly, series! If Hawkeye is anything like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki, it’s a must-see.

Hawkeye premieres on Disney+ on Nov. 24.

The Shrink Next Door on Apple TV+

Finally, there’s The Shrink Next Door from Apple TV+, which premieres on Nov. 12.

The Shrink Next Door stars Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd. The series was inspired by true events and follows the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist Dr. Issac “Ike” Herschkopf (Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowitz (Ferrell) as Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty’s life, taking advantage of his kindness and quickly manipulating Marty. The series aims to explore manipulation and power grabs.
