Every season of the Real Housewives franchise, we get to see new drama brewing between the ladies, full-on fights, and eventually make-ups. The best part of these shows, however, is the reunion specials which come after the season finales. Bravo personality Andy Cohen serves as the host, and it gets really messy.

Just like any reunion show of a reality series, its purpose is to bring back the main players so that they can rehash all the drama they went through or find a solution to an unsolved problem. For The Real Housewives, the women don’t come to play and there have been many fights and revelations made during these specials.

Unfortunately, however, it looks like Bravo has just canceled a reunion special for the very first time, as The Real Housewives of New York City reunion will no longer take place, as reported by USA Today.

The Real Housewives of New York City recently finished up its 13th season, and viewers were looking forward to seeing the ladies come back together to talk about all the installment’s happenings. Although the reported reason for its cancellation is scheduling conflicts, USA Today points out how RHONY season 13 did have particularly low ratings.

Here’s what a Bravo spokesperson says about the cancellation:

"“Due to scheduling challenges around taping the reunion of The Real Housewives of New York City in a timely manner, Bravo confirmed there will not be a reunion for this season. It’s disappointing to not be able to bring the cast back together, but we are happy to have ended on such a high note with the finale, and are now shifting our focus to next season.”"

A source tells USA Today that Bravo is planning on “rebuilding” RHONY after its low ratings this past season, so there shouldn’t be a reason to worry about the show being canceled altogether. It’s definitely unfortunate that the reunion won’t take place, but we’re looking forward to seeing what the network has up its sleeve for season 14.

The current cast of The Real Housewives of New York includes Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Eboni K. Williams, and Leah McSweeney. It doesn’t look like any of the ladies have responded to the reunion cancellation on social media, but we’ll keep you updated if they do.
