Sad news for fans of the Jackass movie series comes today, as it’s been announced actress Patty Perez has passed away at the age of 57. TMZ confirms the news, reporting that the late star suffered from type 1 diabetes. The publication also notes her death was not related to COVID-19.
Perez appeared in both Jackass Number Two (2006) and Jackass 2.5 (2007), participating in some of the stunts and pranks involving Wee Man (real name Jason Acuna) and Johnny Knoxville. Catch a clip of one of her NSFW scenes called “Magic Trick” with the link here. Fans will likely remember the humorous bit.
Apart from the MTV movies, Perez appeared on an episode of the TV docuseries My Big Fat Fetish in 2012. She went by the nickname “Goddess Perez.”
The late public figure’s daughter Priscilla spoke to TMZ and let them know that Perez passed away on Friday, Sept. 17 at a hospital in Reno, Nevada. According to Priscilla, her mom’s kidneys were sadly failing. We’re keeping the family in our thoughts during this difficult time. If you’d like to support the family, we’ve got an opportunity below for you to do so.
There’s been a GoFundMe page set up in memory of Perez, created by her daughter, which asks for donations presumably for the family. Here’s what the description reads:
“On Friday, September 17th our world was crushed. Our mom left this earth at 1:51pm. For anyone who didn’t know she had gone through months of health issues. A lot of ups and downs, with many different diagnoses. She fought so hard and for so long. Our mom leaves behind myself, my brothers Joe, Richard, Gabriel, our grandma Mary, and 7 grandchildren as well as so many friends and family members she loved with all her heart.”
The description continues to honor Perez’s life, reading:
“If you knew our mom at any point in time she was so full of life. She made the best out of any situation, loved her kids with every fiber of her being and was there for anyone who needed it. She was a friend to everyone.”
At the time of this writing, it doesn’t look like any of the main Jackass stars, such as Steve-O, Wee Man, or Johnny Knoxville, have reacted to the sad news on social media.
All of the Jackass movies are currently streaming on Paramount+.
