Detective Elliot Stabler is out to take down gangs and criminal organizations in the second season of Law & Order: Organized Crime, which premieres tonight on NBC.
After leaving the Special Victims Unit and retiring from the police department, Stabler rejoined the NYPD, but as a member of the Organized Crime unit. This unit is an elite task force that takes down criminal organizations in the world of organized crime. Also motivating Stabler is the idea of finding the killers of his wife, who was murdered in a car-bombing.
Christopher Meloni returns to headline Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2. Also returning for season 2 are Danielle Moné Truitt, Ben Chase, and Ainsley Seiger. Vinnie Jones, Lolita Davidovich, Mykelti Williamson, and Guillermo Díaz will also join the cast. Tamara Taylor and Dylan McDermott will appear in reoccurring roles in Season 2.
In Season 1, Stabler learned that Angela ordered the car bombing that killed Stabler’s wife, Kathy, in retaliation for the death of her son, in which she believed Stabler had a hand at. However, Stabler informs Angela that it was her ex-husband, Richard Wheatley, who killed him.
Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 premiere details
In the Season 2 premiere, Stabler is fresh off of taking down the Wheatley drug empire. Now, he must go undercover to stop a family from taking over New York City’s cocaine trade.
Fans will be happy to hear that Stabler and Benson will be reuniting once again as part of the premiere on Law & Order Thursday.
