This week, NBC kicked off its 2021 Fall TV schedule with a crazy week of programming that has brought with it the returns of NBC’s biggest hits. While many of NBC’s beloved shows made their debut this week, the wait for new episodes of Saturday Night Live will continue for another week as we’re in rerun mode once again this weekend.

That’s right, season 47 of SNL won’t begin this Saturday evening but the good news is that fans won’t have to wait too much longer for new episodes to begin!

Season 47 will kick off Saturday, Oct. 2 as Loki star Owen Wilson will make his SNL hosting debut as the first host of the new season! We honestly can’t believe Wilson has never hosted the series before, but that will finally change when he hosts the first episode of the new season.
