“It All Boils Down to This” – Natalie Anderson and Jeff Probst at Tribal Council on the three-hour season finale episode of SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT WAR, airing Wednesday, May 13th (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Best Reality shows: Survivor

Network it airs on: CBS

Years it’s aired: 2000 to present

What it’s about: The series follows a group of contestants in the wilderness fighting for survival. Okay, it’s not as dangerous as it sounds. The contestants don’t necessarily know much about survival, so it’s nothing like Naked and Afraid.

However, the show puts everyday people to the test. There’s an element of strategy to it, as well. Teams and bonds are formed, but only one will be able to win.

Why it’s one of the greatest: It’s always fun watching people out of their comfort zones, and that’s the great thing about this one of the reality TV shows. It’s designed to put people in uncomfortable situations, and they’re forced to work with people they don’t know.

We then get the strategy. Not everyone gets along, and there are always weaker members. There are also bonds that form that can lead to some of the best contestants being voted out early because they don’t have the right friendships. Of course, they’re still competing against each other, so even the bonds end up put to the test. We get to watch the drama play out on our screens.

Over the years, things have been a little stagnant. However, other challenges and surprise twists have been added to recent seasons. It’s going to be fun to see what happens on Survivor Season 41, especially after the delay due to the pandemic.
