The Many Saints of Newark movie age rating: Is it appropriate for kids?

The Many Saints of Newark is one of the most highly anticipated movie releases of this year as it serves as an extension to the iconic television series that everyone knows and love, The Sopranos.
The 2021 film is set to be bigger than its predecessor and will answer the many questions that one may have had while watching the original 1999 show. However, before the movie releases, we want to fill you in on whether or not your younger ones should watch the 2021 film alongside you.

The Many Saints of Newark age rating
The Many Saints of Newark currently has an age rating of R or Restricted meaning that audiences under 18 years old are not permitted to watch the film and audiences over the age of 18 should proceed with caution before watching as there are plenty of scenes depicting violence and gore, sex and nudity, and severe strong language.
In addition to the aforementioned warnings, the movie also has scenes depicting intense situations as well as a few scenes with drugs and alcohol being used.
All around, the 2021 movie is not the route you want to go for your upcoming family movie night. But never fear, we have a few recommendations for you that may be able to suit your needs.
If you would like to watch something more suspenseful and action-packed, feel free to check out titles like Enola Holmes, Oxygen, and Stranger Things on Netflix to fulfill your needs. If you’re looking for a title with a cool group of people, then Love and Monsters and Veronica Mars currently streaming on Hulu may do the trick.
It may be unfortunate that younger audiences won’t be able to view this movie until they are a little older, older audiences are certainly free to watch every second of this action-packed film and they are defintiely going to have a great time doing so.
