Who is hosting Saturday Night Live tonight? (October 1, 2021)

Get ready for a night of laughter because Saturday Night Live is finally back for its new season!

That’s right, after a somewhat delayed start, SNL returns to NBC’s lineup this weekend with its first episode of season 47 airing this Saturday night.

Although the season 47 premiere will be the show’s first season without longtime cast member Beck Bennett, who has departed the series after eight years with the cast, NBC has lined up an impressive host to help kick off the new season!

Who’s hosting SNL tonight?

The SNL season 47 premiere will be hosted by actor and comedian Owen Wilson, who is hot off his turn as Mobius in Marvel’s breakout hit Loki.

Wilson will be taking to Studio 8H this Saturday as the very first host of the new season and we couldn’t think of a better man for the job.

Surprisingly, Owen Wilson has never hosted SNL before this year with the Loki star making his SNL hosting debut on Saturday, Oct. 2 as the host of the season 47 premiere.
