Halloween time is finally here once again, and we cannot wait to binge watch all of our favorite fall films! Netflix and HBO Max may seem like obvious go-to streaming platforms for Halloween content, but Apple TV+ has plenty of spooky movies and shows for you to stream this season.

Wolfwalkers

One of the family-friendly picks on our list, Wolfwalkers is an animated fantasy adventure film that was released on Apple TV+ late last year and was met with glowing reviews. Even though it’s not branded as a Halloween film, the characters, themes, and magical supernatural elements make it perfect for the season and is one of the best Halloween movies on Apple TV+.

Wolfwalkers follows a young new hunter named Robyn whose father sends her on a mission to Ireland to kill the last known evil wolf pack. But Robyn unexpectedly meets and saves another girl named Mebh who is native to the land, and the two become fast friends. Robyn’s journey with Mebh teaches her the real nature of wolves, and Robyn is faced with a difficult choice that goes against everything she thought she knew.

Home Before Dark

This mystery drama series was a hit when it first debuted on Apple TV+, and now with two seasons available to stream, Home Before Dark is a perfect choice for your Halloween watch-list. The story follows a young girl who moves to a town where her father once lived. But as she learns more about the lakeside community and the people there, she uncovers an unsolved case that many people in the town (including her father) tried to make disappear.

Mythic Quest

A workplace comedy, Mythic Quest is about the creators and developers behind a popular multiplayer video game that takes place in a medieval fantasy world. We see the daily struggles and comedic moments between the staff as they work to keep their video game in the number one spot among players, but there is a particular episode on Apple TV+ with an extra layer of fantasy that’s perfect for the season.

The characters in Season 1 Episode 11, a stand-alone episode called “Everlight”, celebrate a special annual holiday with live action role play and a fun but intense jousting tournament. Though LARPing is definitely not just reserved for Halloween, there is something about the heart of this episode that connects itself to the fall season.

Ghostwriter

Ghostwriter is a family-friendly mystery series on Apple TV+ with a supernatural premise. A middle schooler named Ruben is struggling to fit in when he moves into an apartment above his grandfather’s book store. It’s there that Ruben and his classmates meet a supernatural being that they call the ghostwriter. In each episode, the ghost writes them messages and even sends them the spirits of fictional characters from books whose stories relate to the struggles that the middle schoolers face.

Servant

The scariest series on this list, Servant is a psychological horror/thriller show from M. Night Shyamalan. In the series, a couple is mourning a loss, and the tragedy creates a “rift” in their marriage that grants entry to a supernatural force in their home. We follow the couple as they hire a nanny to watch their baby, but the audience quickly learns that there’s a mysterious darkness involved. There are currently two seasons available to stream on Apple TV+ and a third season likely being added next year.
