Is House of the Dragon coming to HBO or HBO Max?
The first official teaser for House of the Dragon is finally here. It’s not arriving until 2022, but you’ll want to make sure you’re ready. Which of the HBO streaming platforms do you need to subscribe to?
Whatever you think of the final season of Game of Thrones, there are high chances you’re excited for House of the Dragon. It’s set 200 years before the fall of the Iron Throne, so it involves absolutely nothing that has already happened. Prequels are awesome for this rason, as long as they stick to the canon already established.
The good news is the series is based on another of George R.R. Martin’s books. It’s all about Fire & Blood, which tells the story of the Targaryen dynasty.
Now we’ve had a first glimpse of House of the Dragon and know it’s coming in 2022. You’ll want to make sure you have the right subscription service in time for it. Will House of the Dragon come to HBO or HBO Max?
House of the Dragon is an HBO Original Series
The Game of Thrones prequel is an HBO Original. It’s not an HBO Max Original. This is an important distinction to make.
While HBO Max is the one that’s released the trailer, you don’t need to get HBO Max to watch it. If you already have HBO and you’ll keep HBO, there’s some great news.
According to IGN, House of the Dragon is coming to both HBO and HBO Max. If something arrives on HBO, it’s always going to be on HBO Max. The latter is the streamer WarnerMedia really wants you to subscribe to.
So far, there isn’t an exact release date. We know it’s coming in 2022, and there are rumors that it’s going to arrive late 2022 due to the amount of graphics that are needed for this series. More on that soon.
House of the Dragon is coming to both HBO and HBO Max in 2022.
