When it was announced that Demon Slayer would be releasing its Mugen Train Arc ahead of its highly anticipated second season slated to release later this year, fans of the iconic anime series rejoiced like never before because they get to see more of their favorite Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, and his excellent pupil and our protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado.

This arc is set to be an extension (or prequel) to the wildly successful film, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which was released in American theaters earlier this year. The arc will explain so much more than fans initially saw in theaters and will give them a chance to understand the origins of characters that we know and love, and, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc release date

The countdown is nearly over because the Mugen Train Arc is slated to release, this Sunday, Oct. 10th on various anime streaming sites including Funimation! Check out the official announcement for the release via Funimation’s Twitter, here.

In addition to this site, on Oct. 10th, the release will be available to watch on Crunchyroll as well as with Hulu. Be sure to sign-up or subscribe to these platforms as soon as possible so that you don’t miss a single second of what’s to come.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc synopsis

As previously mentioned, this soon-coming release will further dive into the story of Kyojuro Rengoku and the details of the mysterious Mugen Train, and how it will tie into the events of the Entertainment District Arc which is the main focus of the second season.

To cover the story, this release will have a total of seven brand new episodes, seventy new scenes from the original manga series, and new original songs that are sure to tie in perfectly with the plot of the series.

While we don’t know the full cast list for this release, you most certainly can expect the same voice actor Satoshi Hino to return once again to voice the character, Kyojuro Rengoku.
